Trust Wallet is one of the most popular multi-chain mobile wallets, supporting TRC20 tokens natively on both iOS and Android. This guide walks you through finding your TRC20 address, adding USDT TRC20 to your wallet, and using the wallet safely.
Step 1: Install Trust Wallet
Download Trust Wallet exclusively from the official app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Search for "Trust Wallet" and verify the developer name is "Six Days LLC." After installation, open the app and create a new wallet. You will be shown a 12-word recovery phrase — write every word down in order and store this paper in a safe location. Never store the seed phrase digitally (no photos, no cloud notes, no email).
Step 2: Add TRON (TRX) and USDT TRC20
By default, TRON (TRX) may or may not be visible in your wallet. To add it: tap the "+" or "Manage" icon in the top right corner of the main screen, search for "TRX" or "Tron," and toggle it on. To add USDT TRC20: search for "USDT" — you will see multiple results for USDT on different networks. Look for "USDT" with the label "TRC20" or "TRON" underneath and enable that one. Adding both TRX and USDT TRC20 is important because you need TRX in your wallet to pay for transaction fees when sending TRC20 tokens.
Step 3: Find Your TRC20 Wallet Address
Once TRON or USDT TRC20 is visible in your wallet list: tap on "TRX" or "USDT (TRC20)" in your asset list, tap the "Receive" button, the screen will display your TRC20 wallet address along with a QR code. Your address begins with "T." Tap "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard, or share the QR code with the sender to scan. Both your TRX and USDT TRC20 tokens share the same TRON address in Trust Wallet.
Receiving USDT TRC20 in Trust Wallet
Share your TRC20 address with the sender. Inform them they must select "TRC20 (TRON)" as the network on their platform. After the sender initiates the transfer, the USDT usually arrives within seconds to 1–2 minutes. You will receive a push notification from Trust Wallet when the transaction is confirmed. Transactions can also be verified on TronScan (tronscan.org) by searching your address.
Sending USDT TRC20 from Trust Wallet
Before sending, ensure you have TRX in your wallet to cover fees — typically a small amount (5–10 TRX is sufficient for many transactions). Tap on USDT TRC20, tap "Send," paste the recipient's TRC20 address (it must start with "T"), enter the amount, review the network fee, and confirm. The transaction will be broadcast to the TRON network and usually confirms within 1–3 seconds.
Trust Wallet Security Tips
Never share your 12-word seed phrase with anyone — including Trust Wallet support, which will never ask for it. Download only from official stores. Fake Trust Wallet apps on third-party sites steal funds immediately upon wallet import. Enable app lock using your phone's biometric security or a PIN. Test before transferring large amounts. Send a small amount first to confirm the address works correctly. Keep your seed phrase offline and in multiple physical locations in case one is lost or destroyed.
